When he woke up it was warm and sticky.

Huh.

His room wasn't warm and sticky. Mikey frowned, rubbing his eyes in irritation. Sometimes Don's tech stuff heated up the lair with record time, he knew that, but this time it was different, it was so... so damp. What was going on?

He opened his eyes and blinked when the first thing he saw was blotchy, torn and obviously cloth.

Whoa. Rewind. He blinked again, he rubbed his eyes. Looked. No, definitely cloth up there, no doubt about it. Given the fact that his room's ceiling was waaay up high and made of stone it wasn't exactly what he expected to see.

He reached out to touch it, his fingers patting the material in drowsy confusion while his sleepy mind tried to figure out what was so weird about this thing. Apart from the fact that it wasn't his ceiling. After a while he realized that it was because this piece of cloth was floating right above his head. Well, and that it was made of cloth. And not his ceiling. And all that.

His eyes shifted to the left where he could see a rope and some wooden staffs supporting the mysterious construction. Slowly it dawned on him that he had to be in some kind of tent.

Tent? What was going on?

Was this some sort of prank or was he having another nightmare? He really hoped it wasn't another nightmare - he hated those nightmares. But they usually included kids and lots of horrible noises. Mikey listened - no, there were no nightmare noises here. Only the sound of the cloth thingy moving in the wind and some distant sound, almost like... water?

"Dude..."

Oww. Man, Raph didn't have to be so mean-tastic. ~~I'm still sore from that little kid's boots anyway. Dude, what are these things made of today, iron?~~

I mean, seriously, I wasn't gonna invite that Hojo guy over or anything. I mean, different universes is quite a distance, dude, that's like real far, sounds pretty safe to me. How was I supposed to know about any portally stuff or world-bouncing?

Not like anyone told me about it. ~~Or this place.~~

Man, this duck thing is really great. I talked to a lot of people already and most of them seem to be pretty cool, especially the other versions of me, they were like totally awesome! But then again how can you compete with the greatness of Mikey, no matter in what universe you chill?

Hopefully I can have some fun around here! ~~Home is too quiet anyway.~~ (hidden)
